Massage Therapy and Thai Yoga Massage

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Religious studies from the University of Waterloo, where I focused my study on women in the world’s religions.  During my studies in University I discovered that women’s legacy throughout history is as healers.  Wanting to continue in this rich tradition, I began studies in Swedish Massage at The Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto.  Upon graduating I furthered my studies and received my level one and two training in Cranial-Sacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute in Florida and my Traditional Thai Massage training from ITM School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  I have also had the good fortune of working in a variety of therapeutic settings.  Experiences have included work as a massage therapist at the Guelph General Hospital in the Labor and delivery ward and as a labor support provider and through my private clinical practice.  My outreach and volunteer experiences have ranged from sports events, stroke rehabilitation clinics in Toronto, teaching infant massage to teen moms at Elizabeth House in Hamilton, and in a palliative care capacity at Guelph General Hospital, an experience I will never forget.  I have taught infant massage and Thai massage workshops at festivals and studios throughout Ontario.  I am pleased to be back in Waterloo, and adding my services to this wonderful community.
